Wayne Rooney’s Range Rover turns up for sale on Auto Trader


A fully customised Range Rover once owned by footballer Wayne Rooney has shown up for sale on Auto Trader. The mega-rich footballer, who just signed a new contract with Manchester United for a whopping £300,000 a week, bought the Range Rover in 2009 and has racked up 50,000 miles in the one of a kind motor.

The luxury car comes with a range of extras including black leather seats and black wooden finishing’s, as well as a full Overfinch service. The Range Rover also has custom made 22 inch alloy wheels engraved with Rooney’s famous number ‘10’.

The car is being sold by Boss Performance in Bury, manager Bager Raza said, “It is a great car which has been highly customised and includes bespoke Rolls-Royce Phantom carpets and you don’t see those very often.

“This model has the best engine and, in Overfinch, the best aftermarket styling. It cost around £100,000 new so you’re getting a lot of car for your money.”

The 271bhp, 3.6 litre V8 diesel engine propels the Range Rover to 62mph in just 8.6 seconds and a top speed of 124mph. It has an annual tax bill of £495 and will produce an average of 25mpg.

The Range Rover is for sale on Auto Trader for £43,975, a bargain considering Mr Rooney spent over £100,000 on it when it was new.
