We scoured the web looking for some of the weirdest and most wonderful cars for sale in the United Kingdom. Here are some of the most distinctive that we found.

Racing Cars for Sale

Ever fancied owning your own Formula One racing car, or your own rally car? If so, MotorSportAds is the place for you. The site features an extensive collection of sporting vehicles from all over the world, as well as motorbikes and go-karts. There are also vehicles that relate to other aspects of the world of motorsports, such as transporters.

Classic, Vintage and Veteran Cars

Older cars can also turn heads. Whilst there is no commonly agreed definition of the terminology, sporting car clubs tend to use the term “veteran” to mean cars built before the end of World War I, “vintage” for cars built between the wars and “classic” for cars built between 1945 and 1973. There are a number of websites specialising in classic cars, while Prewarcar has a wide selection of vintage and veteran cars or at least as wide as one could expect, given the relatively small number of such cars that still survive.

The Downright Bizarre

Weirdworm.com has a slideshow of some of the downright oddest cars ever made. They include a car in the shape of a skull; a hamster powered car that has a hamster wheel where its fuel tank should be and a Volkswagen Beetle customised to look like a pink, furry mouse, complete with pink, furry mouse ears. These cars represent a testament to human creativity and there are seemingly no limits to the ways in which people take the basic design of the car and customise it to suit their own needs and personalities.

Periodically people have to replace their cars. One way to buy or even sell a car is to do it privately. Many second-hand cars are bought and sold in private deals. It is not uncommon to see a vehicle parked on the roadside with a poster announcing it is for sale. The price the seller is looking for will be displayed, along with the amount of MOT and car tax left to run.

Another way people can sell their cars is by advertising them in the local newspaper or on specialised websites. No matter how someone purchases a car in a private deal they should always have it checked out by a mechanic to see if it is in good working order.

One of the most popular ways to buy cars, whether new or second-hand, is at local showrooms. Most people in this country live within reachable distance of a car showroom. The majority of cars for sale are still sold through these outlets.

There are several advantages associated with buying vehicles at car showrooms. A showroom is basically a car shop and there is a usually a wide selection of new and second-hand cars on sale. The price is prominently displayed on the windscreen. The purchaser will also be given the opportunity to inspect that car and then take it on a test drive. If the decision to buy the vehicle is made then the dealer may be able to help the buyer secure car finance.

One of the main advantages of buying a car from a showroom, or one of the online websites such as Carshop, is that the purchaser will have protection. The car must be fit for purpose. If it is not, the vehicle must either be repaired, replaced, or the buyer given a refund.

Owning a car is second only to owning a property in terms of cost and commitment. It could be the biggest first purchase you make, or it might be that you simply want to upgrade your current motor for a new model or treat yourself with that well deserved bonus. But whatever your reasons for wanting to buy a new car, it makes sense to avoid paying over the odds and to try to get the best deal available.

This can be done in a variety of ways; check the classified ads of your local paper, for example, or go to a car shop or one of the online car supermarkets. If you have never owned a car before then make sure you speak to experts in the motor industry before you make a purchase, but if you are selling on a used model then you might want to consider an online transaction with one of the many car giants and car shops out there on the internet who specialise in part exchange or finance deals.

Know your facts before you make a decision, as it pays to be informed.

The advantages of buying a used car from a trader 5

One of the reasons why used cars are so popular is that they tend to be much less expensive than new models. Cheap cars will also be much sought after by a public that enjoys vehicle ownership.

There are many ways to purchase used cars. Some are sold privately while others are sold by ‘trade’ at car showrooms and car supermarkets.

There are many advantages to buying used vehicles from trade suppliers. The range will be very wide, providing the customer with plenty of choice. The purchaser also enjoys strict legal protection that is not available when buying privately.

It must be remembered that used cars have been previously owned and clocked up mileage. No matter how old the car is, or how big the mileage, the car must be roadworthy when it is sold to the new owner.

Obviously, any showroom or car supermarket is reliant on a good reputation, so it cannot afford to sell substandard vehicles. Nevertheless, it is still advisable that the customers know their legal rights. The law states that if there is a problem when the car is sold the new owner has the right, for a short period, to hand the car back and receive a refund, have it fixed or have it repaired.

Another advantage when purchasing a used car from trade car dealers is that they may be able to organise car finance, a major help for those who cannot afford to pay upfront.

People seeking to buy used cars will find cheaper prices and plenty of choice. On sale are quality makes. One can find, for example, used Mercedes or a used BMW as well as cheaper models. For those who take the trouble to shop around and compare prices there are some very cheap cars out there waiting to be bought.

Shopping around is very important for those wanting to purchase a used car. By taking the time and trouble to visit the various car lots and car supermarkets it may be possible to buy a used car at the keenest of prices.

When looking to see which used cars are for sale people can also check if there are any private car sales in the area, or visit local car auctions. However, it is important to remember that private sales and car auctions do not offer the same legal protection for customers as offered by commercial traders.

Anyone who has access to the internet has a big advantage when searching for used cars to buy. There are many websites that allow visitors to check cars that are for sale. Many of these websites belong to traders. The car supermarkets in particular offer a wide range of used cars.

These websites allow visitors to stipulate the kind of used car they are looking for and how much they are prepared to pay. A list is then flashed on the screen and then it is a case of spotting a vehicle that catches the eye.

Getting a Car Loan 13
Feb

Often, buying a car requires a loan.  Car finance, however, requires the buyer to take certain steps.

Firstly, the buyer should work out how much they can afford to pay for a car.  This will help them pick out the make and model of car they choose.  Picking something that is within their budget is important, especially when they start looking to finance the car.

People will often just go to a car dealer for their car finance.  However this is not the best method; it is better to shop around before going to the dealer.  Shopping around for car financing can get the buyer a better interest rate.  It is important not to fall for promotions that sound too good to be true, such as 0% financing.

Another important thing for the buyer is for them to know their own credit rating.  If they do not know this information, they could be unpleasantly surprised by the rate they get on their loan.  Knowing the credit rating will also help the buyer when they are shopping around for a loan.  Different lenders will offer them different rates depending on their credit score.

Credit rating is not the only information the buyer will need to have on hand.  The buyer should have a lot of information ready, such as their address, date of birth, employer and job history.  A lender could ask for this, as well as monthly income, to get an idea of whether or not to issue the loan.

Getting the Best new car Possible 12

There are many considerations that must be taken into account when viewing cars for sale. For example, even if you are not browsing through second hand cars there may still be a minor problem that must be caught. Being a savvy customer helps to make the car shopping experience more fruitful.

No matter what, if the person shopping for the car does not know cars that well they must bring someone with them who does, so that they can have a look at the internal parts of the motor and such. With that being said, there are also simple checks that can be done by anyone, such as checking the electric components of the car like the windows and sunroof. Other functions such as windshield wipers, fan and heater should also be checked. Of course, any obvious physical damage such as a tear in the interior or a dent in the exterior should be pointed out. If the buyer is not averse to buying a car with a minor physical flaw, they may be able to use said flaw to get a lower price.

Searching for rust is another important step when looking at a new car, since this may be an indication that the car has been driven around quite a bit, or driven around carelessly. Once again, such a flaw can often be used to get a price lowered.

Doing research online before coming into a car-buying situation is always a plus. In fact, sometimes the best deals can be found online, and the large amount of car dealers and carshops that the Internet opens up to the buyer helps to ensure that the best deal possible is found.

Buying Used Cars 10

When searching for really cheap cars, buyers often choose to buy a second hand model rather than a new one. Used cars are vehicles that have had one or more previous owners. They are sold in a number of different ways, through a range of outlets. When looking for a used car, buyers can go to private and franchised car dealers, look through various adverts to buy privately or they can buy at an auction.

Probably the majority of people choose to buy used cars through retail dealerships, as they can be given some extras alongside the sale. These can include extended warranty agreements, extra service plans and the option of a part exchange deal on their existing car.

Part exchange involves the customer trading in their current vehicle as part payment towards the car they wish to buy. The dealer takes the BMW value of your car they are receiving, and subtracts it from the price of the car they are selling.
