Buying a new car can often be just the start of the costs associated with owning a motor vehicle. Most drivers will find that maps are now redundant and that they must have a SatNav or any of the many car gadgets and accessories on sale in any car shop across the UK.

A short foray on the Internet will bring up a diverse range of products including a boot lip bumper protector, to prevent a bumper being scratched when putting cumbersome goods into the boot of a car, or even a Viabtor Plug in Fuel Saver. The Fuel Saver works by a microchip that determines the ratio of air to fuel consumption and therefore helps the motorist cut down on fuel use.

There are also many accessories that can be used to brighten up the inside of a car, including leopard print seat covers, trendy air fresheners, a whole variety of car entertainment systems and even exotic coloured lights for the interior of the car. The price of some of these goods is modest but if the driver becomes too attached to their accessories and gizmos then the cost can soon mount.

The perfectionist can even collect selections of designer car cleaning products, including shampoos all contained within their perfectly presented travelling box. The car accessory market is huge and ever changing and it doesn’t just cater for the car’s interiors: check out some of the exterior lights and alarms on the market. A lot of the manufacturers are even presenting a range of products allegedly especially designed for women, in that they all come in the colour pink.

It is well worth visiting the online car shops to see the latest products and sometimes just to have a good laugh.
